Due to being on a much-needed vacation, I am late getting out my Rankings for this week. Finally, I decided to take a break from all the rest and relaxation, once I checked out what has been going on in the NBA since this past Sunday. Based on what I’ve witnessed, my rankings will definitely be taking a dramatic change next week. And it seems that I will be continuing my streak of putting a brand new face into the Top 10 each week.

Here are my COUCH SPORTS EXPERT TOP 10 RANKINGS: Week 4/1/12:

2012 NBA Power Rankings

RANK / TRENDING

TEAM / RECORD LAST WEEK’S RECORD COMMENTS
1(+1) Last Week: 2  THUNDER

40-12

3-0Wins: Blazers, Lakers, Bulls

Losses: N/A

Consider this; in a week’s time, OKC has beaten the Heat, Lakers, and Bulls….CONVINCINGLY
2(-1) Last Week: 1

BULLS

42-12

2-2Wins: Hawks, Pistons

Losses: Nuggets, Thunder

This has been one of the roughest weeks for Chicago so far. But they still look better than any other team would without its top star.
3(+1) Last Week: 4

SPURS

36-14

3-0Wins: Suns, Kings, Pacers

Losses: N/A

I can’t hold them out of my Top 3 any longer. All this team does is WIN
4(-1) Last Week: 3

HEAT

37-14

2-2 Wins: Mavericks, Raptors

Losses: Pacers, Celtics

Am I saying the Spurs are a better, more dangerous team…NO WAY! But they are playing more consistent ball, though.
5(+1) Last Week: 6 LAKERS

33-20

3-1Wins: Warriors, Hornets, Warriors

Losses: Thunder

L.A. keeps rising, because the teams ahead of them keep dropping, and they suffer minimal losses each week. The problem is that those losses always come against the top teams
6(+3) Last Week: 9 CLIPPERS

31-21

4-0Wins: Jazz, Blazers, Suns, Hornets

Losses: N/A

Maybe every team should pu their Head Coach on “thin ice”
7(-) Last Week: 7   PACERS31-21 3-2Wins: Heat, Wizards, Rockets Losses: Spurs, Nets Indy had a BIG win this week against a top team this week…and a BIG loss against a top team. For that, they stay neutral
8(++) Last Week: NR

CELTICS

30-22

4-0 Wins: Bobcats, Jazz, T’Wolves, Heat

Losses: N/A

Finally, the “BIG 4” have made it into the Rankings. But a tough schedule this week may see them heading back out. They aren’t getting any younger
9(+1) Last Week: 10

GRIZZLIES

28-22

2-1

Wins: T’Wolves, Bucks

 Losses: Rockets

This team is still trying to get all of their weapons completely healthy, and when they do….WATCH OUT!
10(-5) Last Week: 5

MAGIC

32-21

1-3Wins: Raptors

Losses: Knicks, Mavericks, Nuggets

This is probably my most dramatic move in my Rankings to date. But when you are separated by 1-2 games from every other team on the list, 3 losses can be very damaging. You think D-Howard is having regrets right now?

LAST 4 OUT: PHILADELPHIA 76ERS, ATLANTA HAWKS, DALLAS MAVERICKS, DENVER NUGGETS (In no particular order)
