"RAGING BULL"

The 2012 NBA Playoffs are quickly approaching, and there seems to be a different a team jockeying to be the “TOP DOG” each week. This will be my fifth week in a row changing the team that I think is #1 in the league. It almost seems to be a curse for me to rank a team at the top. The following week, the team seems to completely fall apart. It’s almost like the “MADDEN CURSE”.
This past week was interesting, because many of my the fourteen teams I highlighted last week faced one another. While I still have no formula how to weigh such victories, or defeats, I will still attempt to breakdown who should be my #1 this week. Also, for the first time, my Top 10 consists of the same teams from last week. Maybe I’m doing something right…MAYBE???

Here are my COUCH SPORTS EXPERT TOP 10 RANKINGS: Week 4/15/12:

2012 NBA Power Rankings

RANK / TRENDING

TEAM / RECORD LAST WEEK’S RECORD COMMENTS
1(+2) Last Week: 3 BULLS

46-14

3-0 Wins: Knicks, Heat, Pistons

Losses: N/A

I clearly think that my teams ranked 1-4 are well ahead of the rest, and the Bulls were the only one of those 4 to go undefeated
2(+2) Last Week: 4 THUNDER

40-15

3-1Wins: Bucks, Kings, T’Wolves

Losses: Clippers

OKC finally got back on track this week. The previous week was a rough one
3(-2) Last Week: 1 SPURS

42-16

2-2Wins: Grizzlies, Suns

Losses: Jazz, Lakers

I honestly was wondering if San Antonio would even lose another game this season.
4(-2) Last Week: 2 HEAT

42-17

2-2Wins: Bobcats, Knicks

Losses: Celtics, Bulls

They took a pretty good thumping from Boston, and fell to a Bulls team that played D-Rose at about 70%
5(–) Last Week: 5 LAKERS

39-22

4-0Wins: Hornets, Spurs, Nuggets, Mavericks

Losses: N/A

If the Lakers have another week like this, I will have no choice but to crack them into my Top 4. (And they have been playing like this without a 100% Kobe)
6(+1) Last Week: 7 PACERS

38-22

4-0Wins: Raptors, Cavaliers, Cavaliers, Bucks

Losses: N/A

Indy is peaking at the right time. They have gone 7-1 over the last 2 weeks
7(-1) Last Week: 6 CLIPPERS

34-22

3-1Wins: Thunder, T’Wolves, Warriors

Losses: Grizzlies

The Clippers didn’t do anything wrong this week. They just had a team that was chasing them play alittle better
8(+2) Last Week: 10 CELTICS

36-25

4-1Wins: Heat, Hawks, Nets, Bobcats

Losses: Raptors

Another team that is peaking at the right time. You can just never count these guys out
9(-1) Last Week: 8 GRIZZLIES

35-25

3-2Wins: Clippers, Suns, Jazz

Losses: Spurs, Hornets

Memphis seems to have at least one BIG win every week. That’s the sign of a good, mature basketball team
10(-1) Last Week: 9 HAWKS

35-25

1-2Wins: Magic

Losses: Celtics, Raptors

Only one “W” this week, but that win came against the team who would’ve stolen the #10 spot from them

LAST 4 OUT: ORLANDO MAGIC, DENVER NUGGETS, DALLAS MAVERICKS, PHILADELPHIA 76ERS (In no particular order)
