Falcons

And there were those who said they would be tested by Philadelphia.
2
Texans
6-1
Last Week: 2

I try not to punish teams for being on “bye”, but they did have some teams under them that shined.
3
Giants
6-2
Last Week: 3
Change: –
“ALMOST LOSSES”, are still “WINS”.
4
49ers
6-2
Last Week: 5

MNF against the Cardinals was supposed to be a tough game. It wasn’t at all.
5
Bears
6-1
Last Week: 4
Change: -1
Every team has close calls against bad teams, but they still won. They struggled against Carolina, while San Fran impressed. Hence the rankings swap.
6
Ravens
5-2
Last Week: 6

A good week to be on “bye”. Hopefully they worked on their defensive scheme, without the talents of Lewis and Webb.
7
Patriots
5-3
Last Week: 8
Change: +1
They went out and embarrassed a decent, young defense. The Packers struggled with the Jags, a not-so-good team. Deserving of a swap.

Packers

(Read above)
9
Broncos
4-3
Last Week: 10

I thought Sunday Night against the Saints would at least be a shootout. Yeah right. This team is tough when they decide not to wait until after halftime to start playing.
10
Steelers
4-3
Last Week: 11
Change: +1
RGIII has made defenses look silly this year. For a “D” that is “old and declining” (not my opinion) they looked good against him.
11
Vikings
5-3
Last Week: 9
Change: -2
I don’t think they are exposed yet. I think they under-prepared against a seemingly inferior opponent at Home.
12
Dolphins
4-3
Last Week: 17
Change: +5
Don’t get excited, they beat the Jets. But when 5 teams ranked above you lose, you’re going to rise.
13
Seahawks
4-4
Last Week: 12
Change: -1
They seemed to be clicking on both sides of the ball.
14
Eagles
3-4
Last Week: 13
Change: -1
You can’t punish them but so much for losing to the #1 ranked team in the league, but I at least expected a fight.
15
Cardinals
4-4
Last Week: 14
Change: -1
They got 99 problems, and the QB is the main one.
16
Cowboys
3-4
Last Week: 15
Change: -1
Do you credit Dallas for being finger tips away from pulling off a great comeback, or criticize them for going down 23-0 in the first place?
17
Lions
3-4
Last Week: 20
Change: +3
Finally, their offense shows signs of life!
18
Redskins
3-5
Last Week: 18
Change: –
Even when they lose, the consensus is the same: RGIII is the “real deal”.
19
Rams
3-5
Last Week: 19
Change: –
They are still stuck in the middle of the pack.
20
Colts
4-3
Last Week: 24
Change: +4
They win the games that are attainable, and even some unexpected ones.
21
Chargers
3-4
Last Week: 16
Change: -5
Sad. On both sides of the ball.
22
Bengals
3-4
Last Week: 22
Change: –
They needed a “bye” week to stop the slide.
23
Buccaneers
3-4
Last Week: 26
Change: +3
The Buccs did what I’ve been asking them to do all season; RUN THE BALL. Which then makes life easier for Freeman.
24
Jets
3-5
Last Week: 21
Change: -3
New England is the only game they seem to wake up for. But they can’t play NE every week.
25
Saints
2-5
Last Week: 23
Change: -2
I’ve blames every close defeat on lack of their coaching presence. This beating can be blamed on lack of heart.
26
Titans
3-5
Last Week: 25
Change: -1
I think it’s time for a reset.
27
Bills
3-4
Last Week: 27
Change: –
No harm done in the “bye” week.
28
Raiders
3-4
Last week: 28
Change: –
How much respect should you get for beating arguably the worst team in the league?
29
Browns
2-6
Last Week: 31
Change: +2
They have some good pieces in place. Now they just need to gain some consistency and attention to detail.
30
Panthers
1-6
Last week: 29
Change: -1
Has this team stopped giving 100% effort for one another?
31
Jaguars
1-6
Last week: 32
Change: +1
I am gong to reward them for at least looking like a professional football team, and trying to give Green Bay a fight.
32
Chiefs
1-6
Last Week: 30Change: -2 (Read above) They didn’t do this against the Raiders, who aren’t very good either.

STUDS OF THE WEEK: TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS. To go in Minnesota, against one of the top defenses, and completely dominate on the ground and through the air, was impressive.

DUDS OF THE WEEK: MINNESOTA VIKINGS. At Home, against a team that has been under-whelming all season, and to get beat in such a way. Had a chance to pass Green Bay in the division.
