TURKEY-Day Week

Instead of going through WHAT I THINK I LEARNED FROM THE NFL THIS WEEK, and I learned a lot, I decided to do something special. We just finished up Thanksgiving week in the NFL, and we saw some interesting things happen in several games.

Around this time of year, there is a common question that we all love to answer; on the social networks, during T-day dinner, and in the company of family and friends. “What are you thankful for?” Many of us may spend every day of our lives complaining about any and every thing that is worthy of a complaint, but it is unacceptable around this time. I can be thankful for a healthy family, a warm home, food on our table, and people who absolutely adore me. We may drive each other crazy every other day of the year, but those blessings are still there.

These NFL teams are no different. We may be able to point out every flaw and issue they face on a weekly basis. (and some have many) But in honor of the holiday, instead of rating each of these teams as I usually do, I want to point out something in which they all can be thankful for. Because, as we all know, we all have SOMETHING to be thankful for.

ARIZONA CARDINALS
Thankful for starting 4-0. Without that, everyone would already be calling them one of the worst teams in the league.

ATLANTA FALCONS
Thankful for more weapons than any defense could dream about defending.

BALTIMORE RAVENS
Thankful for Ray Rice, who can make an otherwise stagnant offense look great.

BUFFALO BILLS
Thankful they are not the only ones in their division who can’t improve from season to season.

CAROLINA PANTHERS
Thankful for CAM NEWTON. Think how much worse they would be without his services.

CHICAGO BEARS
Thankful for a football heritage that makes great defensive players want to play there.

CINCINNATI BENGALS
Thankful the two “top dogs” in their division continue to get OLDER, while they continue to get BETTER.

CLEVELAND BROWNS
Thankful they finally drafted a “franchise” player. (Trent Richardson)

DALLAS COWBOYS
Thankful Jerry Jones’ PATIENCE is a lot more tolerant than his MOUTH.

DENVER BRONCOS
Thankful that “ONE MAN’S TRASH, IS ANOTHER MAN’S TREASURE”.

DETROIT LIONS
Thankful they have turned themselves into a team worth even talking about. (Look back 3 years ago)

GREEN BAY PACKERS
Thankful they own the best QB in the NFL, which gives them a high chance to win every game.

HOUSTON TEXANS
Thankful for Peyton Manning’s Indianapolis years. Houston sat around trying to build an organization good enough to beat their division rival. Even with Manning gone, they now have it.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
Thankful for ANDREW LUCK and CHUCK PAGANO, who have inspired a franchise that was at their lowest point just 7 months ago.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Thankful all those HIGH DRAFT PICKS are finally starting to show their talents.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Thankful that there’s always next year.

MIAMI DOLPHINS
Thankful that they will always be an attraction. Even when the football team isn’t looking so good, come on, SOUTH BEACH. And they play in the same city as one LBJ.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Thankful that ADRIANN PETERSON really is “The Terminator”.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Thankful that they have a mad football scientist as a coach.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
Thankful that they know the easy fix to their problems. Imagine where they would be without the suspensions and off-season drama.

NEW YORK GIANTS
Thankful for the “SWITCH”. Every season, this team reaches a low point, and then, the perfect match-up comes along, and something just turns “on”, and they play “lights out” for the rest of the season. (hint: I think that “switch” got turned “on” against Green Bay)

NEW YORK JETS
Thankful the Tebow stunt, and the weekly showings haven’t lost anyone their job yet.

OAKLAND RAIDERS
Thankful for a history that earned them numerous, faithful fans….before their current state could scare them all away.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Thankful the INJURY BUG may be the savior again this ear.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Thankful for Roethlisberger, who suddenly looks like the greatest QB in the NFL, based on the way his team plays without him.

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS
Thankful for the ability to do JUST ENOUGH….to not make it seem like you need to blow the entire thing up and start over.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
Thankful for a GOLD MINE of talent. Who just searches down their roster and finds a franchise player?

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
Thankful we have a reason to talk about them again.

ST. LOUIS RAMS
Thankful for the rebuilding process. Imagine where they would be without losing their D-Coordinator. This is a good defense and talented offense.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
Thankful to no longer be a “whipping post” in the NFL. Thankful for talent that lives up to the hype.

TENNESSEE TITANS
Thankful for weapons like Chris Johnson, Kenny Britt, and Nate Washington, on offense. Even though they refuse to use them.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS
Thankful for Robert Griffin III
