“MADE YOU LOOK!!!”

I got a little tired of seeing the same team logo on my post every week. As a matter of fact, only two teams have been my #1 all season long. So I threw Green Bay’s logo on top, just to switch things up. At least on the outside. Really, things look very familiar at the top.

2012 POWER RANKINGS: WEEK 14
RANK TEAM / RECORD TRENDING COMMENTS
1
Texans
11-1
Last Week: 1
Change: –
It’s good to see that some teams still believe it’s important to make a statement against the teams you are expected to beat. They may not be fully “complete”, but they are the most “complete” team in the AFC.
2
Falcons
11-1
Last Week: 2
Change: –
One loss this season, and that loss was redeemed in an impressive way last week.
3
Patriots
9-3
Last Week: 5
Change: +2
De ja vu. Patriots running away with the AFC East, while the rest of the teams in their division struggle to stay above water.
4
Broncos
9-3
Last Week: 7
Change: +3
We will see Peyton playing in another Super Bowl before his career is over. (And John Fox coaching another SB team)
5
49ers
8-3-1
Last Week: 3
Change: -2
Some teams just have your “number”. The Rams are that left-handed pitcher that the Niners hate to face.
6
Ravens
9-3
Last Week: 4
Change: -2
Had a chance to put their biggest rival on the Playoff ropes. Opportunity squandered.
7
Packers
8-4
Last Week: 9
Change: +2
Just when you thought they were having an “OFF” year, guess who’s in 1st place in their division?.
8
Bears
8-4
Last Week: 6
Change: -2
They have become one of those teams who get you excited and on the bandwagon one game, and as soon as you do, drops you on your head with their next performance.
9
Colts
8-4
Last Week: 10
Change: +1
I continue to be amazed at the difference a year makes.
10
Giants
7-5
Last Week: 8
Change: -2
The roller coaster ride continues. They give us above average play one week, and mediocre play the next.
11
Bengals
7-5
Last Week: 11
Change: –
Guess who is quietly keeping themselves in the playoff hunt. (still)
12
Steelers
7-5
Last Week: 12
Change: –
Short-handed, on the road, in a hostile environment…..they may have just saved their season.
13
Seahawks
7-5
Last Week: 15
Change: +2
Huge win to keep those emerging Wild Card teams off their backs. .
14
Vikings
6-6
Last Week: 13
Change: -1
Adrian Peterson was the only one who came to play. If that continues, they can put a wraps on any high expectations this season. Getting help at wide receiver shouldn’t be a question.
15
Redskins
6-6
Last Week: 17
Change: +2
This team, and more specifically, their rookie duo, continue to impress. It’s not really about winning. It’s about the way RGIII conducts himsel while doing so. Love or hate the Redskins, if you are not begging to see this guy play in January, you are not a football fan.
16
Buccaneers
6-6
Last Week: 14
Change: -2
Two consecutive losses has them slipping in the playoff hunt. They need Freeman and Martin to find their mojo again.
17
Cowboys
6-6
Last Week: 19
Change: +2
Romo has looked more impressive lately than he has in years. It’s amazing how good a QB can look when his receivers hold on to the ball.
18
Rams
5-6-1
Last Week: 21
Change: +3
Read the comments at #5.
19
Saints
5-7
Last Week: 16
Change: -3
They were riding high after giving the Falcons their first loss. They have been knocked back down to earth as of late.
20
Dolphins
5-7
Last Week: 18
Change: -2
I finally got to witness them play and see what the real problem is. TANNEHILL. I saw several times where he had wide open receivers, and with or without durress, he failed to make the throw.
21
Lions
4-8
Last Week: 20
Change: -1
The agony continues for this team. It’s not just winning or losing. It’s the way they lose these games that are within their reach. And Suh can’t make a tackle without it being reviewed by the US Congress.
22
Jets
5-7
Last Week: 23
Change: +1
They finally found a “cop out”. With Tebow on the bench dealing with injury, they benched a struggling Sanchez and got the victory.
23
Bills
5-7
Last Week: 26
Change: +3
This game may have looked like a “push-over”, but based on the way Jacksonville has played lately, Buffalo needed to stay focused.
24
Cardinals
4-8
Last Week: 22
Change: -2
What’s the fix?
25
Browns
4-8
Last Week: 27
Change: +2
Looking at their entire body of work this season, it’s hard to believe they are 4-8. But 2 wins in a row isn’t a bad way to kick start the future.
26
Chargers
4-8
Last Week: 24
Change: -2
I find it hard to believe that Philip Rivers was once a Pro Bowl QB in this league.
27
Titans
4-8
Last Week: 25
Change: -2
Remember when this team was so quick to boot guys like Vince Young, Lindell White, and Cortland Finnigan out of the organization? Who were they intending to carry on their future?
28
Panthers
3-9
Last week: 28
Change: –
The loss to Kansas City has to serve as the final nail in the coffin. They weren’t headed to the playoffs, but were at least clicking as of late. Orso it seemed.
29
Eagles
3-9
Last Week: 29
Change: –
They’ve fired Coordinators. They’ve benched starters. They’ve basically put themselves in position to do one thing, and one thing only, in the offseason. Terminate their relationship with Andy Reed. As of right now, this is the only definite coaching vacancy, but will be a very HOT one.
30
Raiders
3-9
Last week: 30
Change: –
Remember what I said about the quarterback at #26? Apply the same [HERE].
31
Chiefs
2-10
Last week: 32
Change: +1
In the wake of tragedy, this team went out and played good football.
32
Jaguars
2-10
Last Week: 31Change: -1 After two weeks of going out there and showing some resemblance of a football team, they returned to their pitiful ways this week.

STUDS OF THE WEEK: ST. LOUIS RAMS. They no doubtedly heard all the praise being sent up to Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers. They just went out there and shocked the league with an impressive win.

DUDS OF THE WEEK: BALTIMORE RAVENS. Had the chance to put their division rival in some serious Playoff trouble. At home, where they hadn’t lost in 2 years, with the chance to wrap up their division. No Ben Roethlisberger to defend against. The stars were completely aligned.

It looks like the NFC Playoffs will go through ATLANTA again this year. Can they capture that elusive Playoff victory?
