Last week I became so busy in preparing for the weekend to come that I neglected to post my Rankings after Week 14’s games. After many of my friends accused me of purposely missing my post to not have to deal with all the upsets, I decided to be retroactive, and give these teams their just due, or deserved criticism. Trust me, many of these Rankings will definitely change after the results from Week 15. Stay tuned for my new Rankings, coming this Wednesday.

2012 POWER RANKINGS: WEEK 15
RANK TEAM / RECORD TRENDING COMMENTS
1
Patriots
10-3
Last Week: 3
Change: +2
We saw Brady and Belichick’s greatness at it’s best. They beat the AFC’s #1 team into submission.
2
Broncos
10-3
Last Week: 4
Change: +2
To all the teams who played Denver early in the season, consider yourselves LUCKY.
3
Texans
11-2
Last Week: 1
Change: -2
Read comments at #1. They were the opposing team. I really didn’t appreciate the quitting at the start of the 4th Q.
4
Falcons
11-2
Last Week: 2
Change: -2
Carolina??!! Atlanta shouldn’t need any week to week motivation, because the entire league is waiting for them to choke.
5
49ers
9-3-1
Last Week: 5
Change: –
They can be proud of the win, but they better question if Kaepernick is moving the ball any better than Alex Smith was?
6
Packers
9-4
Last Week: 7
Change: +1
The more things change…the more they stay the same. Looks who’s back on top of their division.
7
Colts
9-4
Last Week: 9
Change: +2
Guess who’s up next? They have a divisional fight against Houston. And we thought this rivalry was over with Manning’s exit.
8
Giants
8-5
Last Week: 10
Change: +2
I thought they had broken their bad habit of looking horrible from week to week, until they face criticism….and then coming off as Champions in the face of adversity.
9
Ravens
9-4
Last Week: 6
Change: -3
It’s not the fact that they lost. It’s losing in the final minutes of a game, where you knock out RGIII, have the lead, and have your defense on the field to finish it.
10
Bears
8-5
Last Week: 8
Change: -2
Remember when Jay Cutler came back from injury, and the Bears looked as if they would cruise into the playoffs?
11
Seahawks
8-5
Last Week: 13
Change: +2
They way they beat Arizona is the exact way you are supposed to handle a team that you should easily beat.
12
Vikings
7-6
Last Week: 14
Change: +2
Percy Harvin goes out for the season, and Minnesota realizes they need to ride their “horse”. You can throw 12 in the box, and nobody is stopping AP right now.
13
Redskins
7-6
Last Week: 15
Change: +2
The best word to describe what is going on in Washington right now is “BELIEVERS”.
14
Cowboys
7-6
Last Week: 17
Change: +3
I said the same thing about Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban a few years back: It’s amazing how well a team can play once the owner shuts up, and lets them do their jobs.
15
Bengals
7-6
Last Week: 11
Change: -4
Their defense seems to get better every week, but their offense isn’t.
16
Steelers
7-6
Last Week: 12
Change: -4
How do you beat your rival Ravens with the 3rd string QB one week, and lose to San Diego with your starting QB the next?
17
Rams
6-6-1
Last Week: 18
Change: +1
Can you imagine where this team would be defensively i not for the Gregg Williams bounty scandal?
18
Buccaneers
6-7
Last Week: 16
Change: -2
It sickens me to think how quickly they have fallen. A loss to Philly was the final nail in their playoff and season coffin.
19
Jets
6-7
Last Week: 22
Change: +3
Regardless of where this rocky season has taken them, regardless of injuries, regardless of QB contraversies…this team is in the playoff hunt.
20
Saints
5-8
Last Week: 19
Change: -1
It’s clear that the Saints were a wounded team coming into the season. Unfortunately for them, they still carry the talent and reputation that good teams perk up to go against them.
21
Dolphins
5-8
Last Week: 20
Change: -1
This team should dread “bye” weeks. They were getting consistently better, until their week 7 break.
22
Lions
4-9
Last Week: 21
Change: -1
Anything that can go strangely wrong, in the 4th quarter, of a game that you should win, will happen to this team. This season, it all has happened to this team..
23
Browns
5-8
Last Week: 25
Change: +2
Even if you aren’t having the best season, beat the teams you should beat.
24
Chargers
5-8
Last Week: 26
Change: +2
Where did that come from? After the way they have played this season, you would’ve never convinced me that they could go out and shock Pittsburgh.
25
Bills
5-8
Last Week: 23
Change: -2
This team has the weapons on offense. Can we start working on some defense now?
26
Panthers
4-9
Last Week: 28
Change: +2
Finally, this team puts together a full 60 minutes of solid work. They usually give us a good 57 minutes, and then find a way to lose it in the end.
27
Eagles
4-9
Last Week: 29
Change: +2
Still need proof that they Andy Reed-Michael Vick era is over in Philly?
28
Cardinals
4-9
Last week: 24
Change: -4
That’s now 9 straight.
29
Titans
4-9
Last Week: 27
Change: -2
“We want Vince Young! We want Vince Young!” (not really) Maybe Kerry Collins.
30
Raiders
3-10
Last week: 30
Change: –
Please don’t make the mistake of blaming injuries.
31
Chiefs
2-11
Last week: 31
Change: –
Let’s look to next season. They need someone solid at QB, and they need several pieces on defense.
32
Jaguars
2-11
Last Week: 32

Change: –

Let’s look to next season. They need EVERYTHING.

STUDS OF THE WEEK: WASHINGTON REDSKINS. In tough games, the most important thing is keeping yourself in a position to win. But when they lose RGIII late in the 4th, against a stout Ravens “D”, it seemed over. I believe they became a TEAM in that moment.

DUDS OF THE WEEK: BALTIMORE RAVENS. I thought about going with the Texans quitting in the 4th, but based on my previous comments, the Ravens take the cake.
